A control layer
for innate immunity.
Signl screens for small molecules that change what happens after a receptor is activated.
Toxicity and protection come from the same event
Adjuvants and immune stimulants work by activating pattern recognition receptors. That activation drives two things at once. The protective response you want, and the inflammatory response you do not.
Because both come from the same event, dose is limited by tolerability rather than by biology.
They change the signaling, not the binding
Signl screens for small molecules that change the signaling downstream of innate immune activation. We call them TuneAvants.
They do not compete with the stimulant for its receptor. They change which branches of the response are amplified and which are attenuated, allowing for the inflammatory output and the protective output to stop moving together.
Co-formulated into what already exists
A TuneAvant is co-formulated with an existing vaccine or delivery system. It does not require a new antigen, a new platform, or a reformulated delivery vehicle.
The same control, outside vaccines
Vaccines are where we started. We are exploring our technology in other indications and therapeutic areas that need precise control over inflammation and adaptive immunity.
